What Sets Versant Apart

Discover the unique features that make Versant truly stand out today.

All-Stocks Rated Speed (ASRS):

Typical presses slow down on heavier or specialty stocks; Versant maintains its rated speed under much wider media conditions when equipped with ASRS or the Performance Package.

Specialty / Adaptive Toners:

Ability to add metallic, fluorescent, clear, white, etc. to standard CMYK gives creative departments premium embellishment options inline (without having to do separate runs).

Extensive Automation for Quality & Media Handling:

Inline sensors, media management software, automatic calibration cut down the manual work, reduce waste, and ensure consistency from job to job.

Ultra-HD Rendering & Fine Detail:

2400 dpi + 10-bit RIP ensures very fine detail, smooth tonal transitions, and high quality output even in demanding graphic applications.

Efficient, Versatile Printing for On-Demand & In-Plant Environments

Sharp’s BP-90C70 and BP-90C80 models are “light production” color presses targeted at businesses with centralized printing operations, reprographics departments, or in-plant print shops. They combine high speed, excellent media support, and finishing/edge-to-edge capabilities to satisfy a wide range of output needs.

Key Features:

Edge-to-Edge / Full Bleed Printing

BP-90C70: ~70 ppm in color / ~75 ppm in black & white. BP-90C80: ~80 ppm both color and black & white.

Heavy Media & Full Rated Performance

These models handle media up to 220 gsmat rated speed—coated, uncoated, textured stocks included.

Sustainability & Reliability

Certifications like Blue Angel, energy savings, recyclable packaging, and durable consumables are part of the package.

What Sets Sharp’s Light Production Models Apart

True Full-Bleed on Large & Long Paper Sizes

The capability to run full-bleed (edge-to-edge) on long sheets (up to ~26.3″) opens up creative marketing and booklet applications in-house without trimming.

Heavy Media at Rated Speed

Many printers slow when using thicker or textured stock; these models keep up speed even with heavy or textured paper up to 220 gsm.

Fiery Integration & Color Control

State-of-the-art Fiery servers, both embedded and external, allow for precise color management, remote job submission/previews, and efficient pre-press workflows.

Production Finishing Options Built In

The finishing tools are built to support in-plant demands: booklets, folds, stapling, trimming, etc., providing a turnkey solution rather than needing add-ons or external finishing.
