A North Jersey township sends roughly 1,500 pieces of mail a day, the unglamorous machinery of local government, from DMV-style renewals to health department notices. None of it can be slow, and none of it can stop.
The problem
Their meter had lost a step, and they were outsourcing bulk mail to the tune of $6,000 to $10,000 a month. For a budget built on taxpayer dollars, that’s a line item that deserves scrutiny, and nobody had the tool to bring it back in house.
What we did
Our rep looked at the operation and showed them what an FP system could do: process the full daily volume in house, capture presort discounts, and track spend. We handled installation and trained staff in person and virtually.
The result
The bulk-mail outsourcing came off the expense sheet, control came back to the township, and the daily mail runs like flipping on a light, because residents are counting on it.
“People don’t think about this job until it stops,” the supervisor said. “With ADS, it just doesn’t stop.”
