Office, shop floor, and shipping: three worlds, one print plan

Manufacturer · Sussex County
Equipment:

“The front office and the shop floor have completely different printing needs, and toner was a free-for-all. ADS built one plan that covers both and put our supplies on autopilot.”

A Sussex County manufacturer prints in two very different worlds: clean office documents up front, and rugged labels and work orders out on the shop floor where dust and duty cycles punish equipment.

The problem

A grab-bag of printers meant a shelf full of mismatched toner, no replenishment plan, and shop-floor units that weren’t built for the abuse. Run-outs stopped production at the worst times.

What we did

We built one managed-print plan spanning both environments: durable Kyocera ECOSYS devices rated for the floor, standard office MFPs up front, with automatic supply replenishment so toner shows up before anyone goes looking for it.

The result

One plan, one toner strategy, no surprise run-outs, and devices matched to where they actually live.

“Treating the office and the floor as one print problem was the insight,” the manager said. “Nobody had done that for us before.”
