A Morris County general contractor lives and dies by the plan set. Architectural and structural drawings have to be on the job site before the crew shows up, and their aging plotter turned that into an all-night ordeal: one page a minute, and a paper jam that could wipe out an entire scan.
The problem
When the device that starts every project is the slowest thing in the building, the whole schedule bends around it. Late prints meant a coordinator standing at the machine at midnight, and a jam meant starting the whole job over.
